Help to Buy enables one family to secure their first home

For Sadete Saliuku and her partner Hajdin Behram it was an impromptu viewing of the marketing suite at Brentford Lock West that led to the couple securing their first home here together – a ground floor, two bedroom apartment with a wraparound terrace in Brentford, west London.

The couple, who were happily renting locally had driven past the Brentford Lock West development on numerous occasions before curiosity got the better of them and Hajdin called in to enquire about the homes on offer here. Wowed by the marketing suite and enthused by the helpful and friendly sales team onsite, Hadjin then made a second appointment to come back with his partner and after some further visits to view the show homes here, the couple reserved a two bedroom apartment in Keelson Gardens, with the use of Help to Buy.

Speaking of their purchase, Sadete said: “We are so excited to have secured our first home here. We really weren’t looking to purchase a property, but we just fell in love with the development. There is a real sense of community here, which gives the whole development a really friendly and welcoming feel and it’s in such a great spot alongside the canal. The apartment we have chosen has a fantastic terrace, which is ideal for our young son and we also benefit from a lovely communal courtyard, which we look straight out onto.”

We were renting locally so we already knew the area and we were keen to stay here.
