Bellway to release hundreds more homes at its second Homebuyers Event of the year

Sep 18, 2019

Hundreds of homes across London and the South East are set to be released for sale at an exclusive event taking place in October.

Bellway’s Homebuyers Event is back for a second time this year after the success of an earlier event in May.  More than 500 homes will go on sale at the event, which is taking place on October 18 and 19 at the London Hilton Tower Bridge Hotel.

Eight new developments will be launched, with many of the properties available to purchase with Help to Buy, in sought-after locations across London and the South East including Dartford, Beckton, Bexleyheath, Sydenham, Croydon, Hayes, Chelmsford and Barking.

There will also be homes released for sale at 10 existing sites in Woolwich, Poplar, Ebbsfleet, Grays, Greenwich, Nine Elms, Isleworth, Walton-on-Thames, Thurrock and Croydon.

Bellway London is hosting the free to attend event to showcase its entire portfolio of new homes across London and the South East, many of which are suitable for first-time buyers, in one place.

The event will allow for first-time buyers to ask any questions they have on how to buy their first new home, with solicitors and financial advisors on-hand to support buyers through the process.

Ian Gorst, Bellway Regional Chairman for London and the South East, said: “After the success of our Homebuyers Event earlier this year we wanted to continue the forward momentum we have created to support hundreds of new homeowners step onto the property ladder in and around London.
“We have eight new developments and hundreds of properties being released for sale in key locations where homebuyers can put down roots in the capital and the surrounding areas.

“Purchases with Help to Buy and Help to Buy London are continuously on the rise and Bellway London is proud to be able to support the scheme across our developments in London and the South East.

“We anticipate our event this October will help even more people achieve their dream of owning a new home and will allow us to continue to grow and supply further events such as this one into 2020.

Hannah Watson was one of the hundreds of buyers who purchased their first home at Bellway’s most recent Homebuyers Event in May 2019.
She said: “Bellway has stood out among the competition because their homes in London actually feel within the reach of a first-time buyer like me. The fact that they’re a five-star builder is a real comfort. It shows they’re an established brand.”
Solicitors and financial advisors will be available during the event to offer advice and Bellway sales advisors can assist with any queries about the Help to Buy and Help to Buy London schemes.

London Help to Buy is available across all London boroughs and enables purchasers to secure a home with a five per cent deposit and a 55 per cent mortgage on new homes up to £600,000. The remaining 40 per cent is provided as an equity loan backed by the Government and interest free for the first five years.
Help to Buy is available across the wider Kent and Essex regions. It offers an equity loan of 20 per cent to new home buyers who have a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage.

The Bellway London Homebuyers Event takes place from 12pm to 6pm on Friday, October 18, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 19, at the London Hilton Tower Bridge Hotel.
